Wildflower began in the simplest way possible, with a mom named Michelle Carlson who wanted to find a couple of cute iPhone cases for her daughters, Devon and Sydney.
Michelle started to check online stores in search of the perfect cases. But it proved far harder than she'd expected. In fact, nowhere seemed to have the kind of items she wanted.
So, in an awesome act of love that would change her family's lives forever more, Michelle busted out her crafting kit and got to work on some handmade cases for the girls.
The results? Amazing! They may have only been made from some strips of denim and a few studs, but the designs were fresh, original, and feminine, and Devon and Sydney adored them.
So did their friends, who started to ask the Carlsons to make more cases, just for them.
But the story doesn't end there.
A Star Connection
Not long after the girls got their cases, Devon was dining at an LA restaurant.
And it just so happened that pop icon Miley Cyrus was in that exact same place. So, Devon did what any girl would do. She asked Miley for a selfie!
Miley obliged, but when she saw Devon's funky phone case, she couldn't help making a comment.
She asked where the case was from, and Devon explained her mom had made it.
Miley was gobsmacked. She urged Devon and her family to start making more and sell them online. She knew that the girls could be a huge success story, and when Miley Cyrus says you should do something, you should probably do it!
So, we did. We got to work on some new cases, set up an online store, and launched the Wildflower brand, hoping to bring joy, positivity, and aesthetic upgrades to iPhones around the world.
