If you thought podcasts were just a fleeting pandemic trend, think again: in 2024, a record 47% of Americans aged 12 and up were tuning in monthly.
This month, we dropped our first case collab with Enya Umanzor, YouTube icon and co-host of pop culture-comedy show, Emergency Intercom. It’s kooky, chaotic, and completely addictive — essentially the ideal listen. It’s only a matter of time before you binge every episode, but don’t worry, we’ve got your next obsession on queue.
From deep dives into celebrity culture to girly chit-chats and everything in-between, we’re saving you the effort of endless trial-and-error. Hit the gym, download for your next travel day or queue up for spring cleaning, these are our most-recommended shows for 2025.
There are very few Las Culturistas clips that don’t go viral, and for good reason. Hosted by SNL veteran Bowen Yang (also of Wicked fame) and comedian Matt Rogers, this laugh-out-loud podcast takes a microscope to pop culture from an insider’s perspective. Expect A-list guests like Ariana Grande or Tina Fey, unfiltered opinions, and a whole lot of camp.
Hot take: Each episode is long at almost two-hours, and it can get a little ‘inside baseball’ with its look at the entertainment industry — but hey, it’s worth a listen for the laughs.
If you have a taste for reliving some of the most shocking scandals to ever rock the headlines, you will love infamous. Vanessa Grigoriadis, a notable journalist for the likes of Vanity Fair and Rolling Stone explores the unforgettable controversies and cultural phenomena of our time — from Kylie Jenner’s billion-dollar business bluff to the insanity of Girls Gone Wild.
Hot take: So many of the stories are multi-part series that require a massive amount of production. For that reason, this show is prone to re-runs.
TikTok’s “big sister,” Tinx, takes over a whole new platform with ‘It’s Me, Tinx.’ This iHeartRadio pod sees the influencer hit the airwaves multiple times a week, both solo and with guests, sharing relatable takes on navigating the digital age. You can also hear her dole out advice to listeners in real-time, which is always relatable.
Hot take: The solo eps can get a bit preachy, so ease in with her live casts for a more dynamic listen.
Think: gossip for smart people. (UN)COVER GIRL takes you ‘under the covers’ of iconic magazines to unpack iconic celebrity profiles from both the past and present. Hosted by two entertainment journalists with a knack for pop cultural anthropology, it’s thought-provoking, funny, and filled with juicy gossip.
Hot take: It moves fast, and sometimes the pop culture references can get pretty niche, but if you can keep up, you'll be hooked.
This show is in the running for iHeartRadio’s podcast of the year, and for good reason. Let your mind log off as you listen to former Summer House castmates and comedians Paige DeSorbo and Hannah Berner bring true BFF energy to the airwaves, tackling everything from Bravo gossip to daily embarrassments with infectious giggles.
Hot take: Beyond “giggling,” there’s no definitive concept — something to keep in mind if you prefer guests or more structure.
When Jake Shane announced he would be premiering a podcast, many wondered how he would translate his success from online skits to the audio format. As it turns out, pretty well. Stepping into the role of therapist, he invites a series of A-list guests to join him on the chaise lounge to discuss their lives and answer audience calls.
Hot take: If you’re looking for deep, soul-searching interviews, this is not the show for you, but Jake does tend to have great chemistry with guests.
New York-based besties Joe Hegyes and Andrew Muscarella relive the best and worst of growing up in the 2000s. This video podcast is packed with heartwarming anecdotes and blink-and-you’ll-miss-it jokes, they also have some incredible guests who shaped their formative years.
Hot take: This podcast is almost entirely rooted in nostalgia, so if you're expecting hot takes on current events, just know that’s not what you’re signing up for.
A long-overdue link-up between Tana Mongeau and Trisha Paytas, this podcast only premiered last December. Both influencers host their own successful podcasts (Cancelled and Just Trish), on which each other were frequent guests, so this felt like a natural pairing. Not Loveline is equal parts advice column and unfiltered confessional, inviting listeners to call in with their problems.
Hot take: Since it's an advice-only format, the subject matter might not be as wide-ranging and dynamic as that of the pair's individual pods. But, they’re still warming up, give it time!
