Girls, spring is officially upon us. That means throw those thermals in some old suitcase, carefully curate your coat collection, and remove any heavy-duty boots from your rotation (though the cowboys can stay). We’re now in the season of summer dresses, sockless shoes, and – for those Miss Congeniality fans out there – a climate that’s “not too hot, not too cold…all you need is a light jacket.”

If you’re stressing about nailing warm-weather dressing, we’re here to help. Before you ask- no, we’re not psychic, but we do seem to have a unique handle on what’s coming in hot for the new season. As such, Wildflower has been predicting the top 2024 spring trends long before the weather crept up to 70 — and, like always, we’ve hit every target.

Whether you’re ready to partake in a new print or on the hunt for outerwear that’s always in, streamline your spring styling with our three favorite trends. And, before you ask, of course, we rounded up the best cases to complement your closet. It’s time to enter your blossom era.

ALL GINGHAM EVERYTHING

Ready to get checked out? From playful picnic dresses to picture-perfect sets, gingham patterns remained consistent across the SS24 collections that debuted last fall. Known for its styling versatility and nostalgic appeal, gingham is an essential for any well-rounded closet — especially in bold hues  or pretty pastels. Let gingham take center stage in your closet this spring, and infuse your outfits with a playful yet sophisticated flair.

IN THE TRENCHES

The trench coat is back to reclaim its status as the ultimate closet staple. First making its name as a London spring essential, the trench has become a go-to coat for transitional weather — whether draped over a slip dress or paired with tailored trousers for an elevated look. If you’re feeling particularly frisky, opt for a cropped version or wear on its own (à la Devon) as a statement piece. In fact, this one even comes with a matching skirt. There are no rules when it comes to the trench, so have fun with it.

LET'S GET LACEY

After the en masse adoption of slip dresses, the girls can readily wear lingerie outside the bedroom without judgment — just in time for lace’s revival. A favorite of ‘it’ girls of the 80s and 90s, lace has long-been considered one of the most feminine of all fabrics — adding a subversive romance to any ensemble. Look for modern geometric patterns or ethereal floral motifs (we recommend Ebay if you’re a fan of vintage Victoria’s Secret lace styles), or you can keep things simple with embroidery or trims. Either way, fall in love with lace this season.
