Our story started over 10 years ago, with the love and dedication of one woman named Michelle Carlson. Michelle wanted to find a couple of classy iPhone cases for her daughters, Sydney and Devon.
Doesn't sound too tricky, right?
Well, it turned out to be a lot harder than Michelle expected. She had a specific type of case in mind to suit her girls, and she simply couldn't find it anywhere!
Plenty of stores had protective, armor-style cases to guard phones against drops and accidents. But very few of them took the time to invest in aesthetic, eye-catching phone cases with truly attractive, engaging designs—the kind of designs the Carlson girls deserved.
So what did Michelle do? She got to work on crafting a couple of cases all by herself!
Michelle's Magical Creations
Yes, in a true #momgoals move, Michelle grabbed some craft supplies and pieced together two completely unique denim and stud phone cases for the girls.
They loved them!
Their friends, too, fell in love with the fresh, funky cases designed by Mama Carlson, and soon she started making more to share among the group or sell to anyone who happened to want one.
It wasn't a "business," exactly. Not even a "side hustle," really. It was simply a passion project that had turned out more successful than expected.
Well, it was about to get a whole lot more successful than that, and none of the Carlsons could have predicted what happened next.
Our "Blossom" Moment
A little while later, Devon was dining at an LA restaurant, when who did she see across the room?
It was none other than superstar pop sensation, "Wrecking Ball" singer, Hannah Montana herself: Miley Cyrus.
And what would you do if you bumped into Miley Cyrus? You'd ask for a selfie, right? That's exactly what Devon did, and it's exactly how Miley happened to see her stylish iPhone case.
Devon noticed how Miley was wowed by the case and offered her one of her own. Miley asked where she could buy more, and Devon explained that her mom made them.
All Miley could say was "What?! You need to start selling these online now!"
